The better your photos are, the quicker we can deliver your 3D model and measurements. In this video, we explain how you can successfully capture images using the HOVER app.
Key tips
- Try to capture as much of the property in each shot as possible.
- Include each face of the property from top to bottom and from left to right.
- Corner shots are key. A good corner shot includes two full faces of the property and both ends of the property.
- Try to avoid obstructions such as trees, swimming pools or cars as much as possible in each photo.
The ideal photo
It is important that you capture the photos in such way that the entire property is clearly visible. We recommend holding your phone horizontally (in landscape mode) when taking photos as it allows you to capture more of the property in each photo.

The above photo is a perfect example as it includes some sky on top, some garden on the bottom and some free space on both sides of the house.
The ideal corner shot
Corner shots play a big role in getting your deliverables faster. A good corner shot includes two full faces of the property.

For example, when taking a photo of the front-right corner, ensure that you capture the full front of the property from left to right as well as the right-hand side from front to back.
The ideal side shot
A good side shot captures the entire side from left to right and from top to bottom. If you can’t capture the entire side in the photo, make sure to hold your phone vertically (in portrait mode) and step back.
